I place parts and pistons, 47 on the Mack Truck Pinnacle on Row 11 We are 4 men strong, we work all day long Out in Lehigh County here in Pennsylvania Allentown is where my daddy raised me Working with Westmorland Coal, raised 7 babies And we all have homes here so we’re all in trouble Cuz the Mack Truck’s moving to the Carolinas Allentown, did I let you down when I signed that dotted line Gotta tell the family we’re going Pennsylvania’s just a place, but a place I thought was mine The down side of deciding is not knowing Got a transfer but my brothers didn’t All our kids grew up together, what’s in Carolina Just a job that I’ve done, since I left high school That is so built into me, the way I make the motions Allentown, I wore your crown but it seems I’ve gone astray. Following a paycheck to the next mile Greenville’s just another place, but another world away The king of row 11 is in exile. I place parts and pistons, 67 on the Mack Truck Pinnacle on Row 11 I work all alone and I work all day long Out in Greenville County here in Carolina

A couple of years We should get together” Hell no there’s not enough beers in the world cuz… She’s twice the size, now a wife with kids Her husband gives me a glare But I look closer and it’s not in anger He’s pleading to get him the hell out of there He’s at the table full of soccer moms She waves me over to move No thanks, I’ll stick with the singles She’s got the eye of the tiger, wants to get back her groove cuz Am F Am F She stalks me out at the rest rooms, makes sure that I can’t run away Am F Am G With every white wine spritzer, a little less reserved a little more to say.

Pressure 02:49
You’re gonna have to speed it up, one of a kind is not enough Nobody asked you to enjoy this race, so You always run from anyplace, where they show feelings on their face No one has sights on you You need to build some Pressure You never called me paranoid, the only word you would avoid You danced a tango through a holy war and You still have all that faith of yours and your advice to be mature Your flawless face tells me you need a bit more Pressure You’re still young the world’s at your feet Don’t get psyched out, you know the beat All your life is cable TV, Reality Know what that means So ask for help, you’re not alone, don’t have to answer to your own I doubt you can explain your small town views while You’re over there rolling dice the game is won, it must be nice Break out of your shell and use a little pressure All your life is tabloid shorthand I’ve never read, but I understand

She’s Right On Time by Mark Aaron James and Cassandra Kubinski Tuesday feeling like a Monday, Got another 2000 things to do I’m the guy that sets the time for the meetings And I’ll tell you when the meeting’s through I hear them calling me “the old man” I’m gonna focus my dinner plans People say that I’m late to the party but for me she’s right on time People shake their heads feeling sorry but I think she’s right on time I’m not so old that I can’t remember May feels good against December So if you think I’m a cradle robber that’s fine She’s right on time She working on a new degree, not just a pretty face in the crowd She doesn’t mind my classic rock, but she likes to play it loud If she waltzes in an hour late When the room lights up I don’t mind the wait My friends are all “Your Crazy” Her parents think she’s blind It’s all wrong, she’s too young Coulda shoulda in your prime Sure she don’t pay for nothing and there’s candy on my arm But she’d love me as a pauper and I love her for her charm

Thanks for taking this meeting I’m h ere on behalf of the staff We know your hip, you’re a cool boss You’re always good for a laugh We’ve seen it in trendy restaurants We all watched Allie McBeal But when it comes to our “business” Here’s how the rest of us feel We don’t like the unisex bathroom Please know we’re not throwing stones (2. We’d like to go it alone) (3. Did I just hear a trombone) (But listen), we can’t handle the unisex bathroom We all need a room of our own, sometimes, yeah We all need a room of our own We hope we don’t sound ungrateful I know it’s just been referbed But I’ve heard sounds that are best made in private My brain and some stomachs are truly disturbed The girls pretend they don’t use it The guys need somewhere to scratch It’s hard to save face when you’re sharing an office After they’ve seen you lighting a match, (I’m just saying …)

Surprises 03:23
Bruce Willis was dead all along, Rick lets Ilsa leave and sam replays his favorite song That british chick’s a guy, a jet comes down on Darko’s head, The Game’s a birthday present Rosebud is a childhood sled It shouldn’t surprise you at all, oh no It shouldn’t surprise you at all. Brad Pitt finds his wife’s head in a box, Eddie Wilson faked his death, the sequel sucked the sountrack rocks Norman is the killer and he’s got some crazy mother issues, The hero dog is gonna die so load up on the tissues It shouldn’t surprise you at all, oh no It shouldn’t surprise you at all. I hope you don’t feel like I’ve done something wrong If you want surprises then this ain’t your song Jason’s mother did it and ET comes back to life Glenn close can do that also but gets shot by Michael’s jealous wife Luke can call Darth Vader dad and Leiah is his sis Soylent Green is people, Michael Cane and Superman just kissed It shouldn’t surprise you at all, oh no It shouldn’t surprise you at all. Kevin Spacey’s Kyser Soze Brad Pitt’s in Ed Norton’s head They shoot the loan survivor in The Night Of The Living Dead It turns out Charton Heston was on planet Earth all along Elaine ditches her wedding while Paul Simon sings a pretty song It shouldn’t surprise you at all, oh no It shouldn’t surprise you at all. The calls come from inside the house and Barrymore dies first The Village is in modern times the poltergeist’s a graveyard curse Momento was an accident and Mr. Glass a comic scheme The inn that bob was running, turns out it was only Newhart’s dream. It shouldn’t surprise you at all, oh no It shouldn’t surprise you at all.

Just a tourist out in Amsterdam And like they say ‘bout when in Rome Just take a bite what’s not to like give it some time to settle in Don’t feel a thing some more won’t hurt, some coffee watch the city spin A list of names a favorite song a dizzy dance open your eyes Scandinavian Skies Seven hours till the sun goes down Have you been looking at your hands But time just shifts it doesn’t pass how white the clouds how green the grass 200 yards to take a trip who knew a cake could kick your ass Some Chinese food a glass of wine until the night open your eyes Scandinavian Skies The other half you tucked away, wrapped in some plastic in your kit Didn’t occur to you the airport dogs might get a whiff of it But fate is kind and in your freezer lies a little souvenir And on your birthday have some cake and watch the world just disappear Into disguise. Scandinavian Skies

She’s awful pretty and I hear your bird can sing Comes from the city and they say she’s got that thing Girls want to be her and the boys want in her pants Give it a beat and tell the tweens it’s time to dance But where’s the orchestra But where’s the orchestra If she gets caught with something throw it on the news Make sure the photo shows her lipstick and her shoes Turn up the bass and teach the dancers all the cues The new Madonna, she’s the bomb lets light the fuse But where’s the orchestra But where’s the orchestra They’re smoking cigarettes behind the local hang They play 3 sets a night, sometimes the waitress sings No one has posters of them up over their bed But when your girl wants a good time, guess where she heads To see the orchestra she says “Where’s the orchestra” Give her a horn section and set that caged bird free If she belongs there let her go and let it be The world don’t need another carbon copy hit If life’s a musical then put her in the pit, cuz There’s the orchestra That’s where we belong Where’s the Orchestra Somebody listen to her songs, Yeah Where’s the Orchestra We hope that you’ll enjoy the show Where’s the orchestra Sit back and let the evening go. where’s the orchestra I need some music Where’s the orchestra, cuz they know how to do it.

about

This collection is the result of my Album Rewrite Project. A new song and video were added every week for 9 weeks. The inspiration album was Billy Joel's "Nylon Curtain." It's his most underrated release in my opinion. Check it out and enjoy these songs that Billy's album inspired.
