about

A couple of years ago I was invited to play a holiday concert at the White House in Washington DC. At first, I didn't believe it. But, sure enough, on December 12th, 2012, there we were in the East Hall singing Christmas carols along with one Hanukkah song I wrote. We were the final stop as hundreds of people toured the most famous house in America, all invited by their Congressmen/women. Sometimes only 10 people were listening. Sometimes the room was filled with 200+. At one point, Bo, the White House dog, stopped by. Since I was using my MacBook as a music chart, I turned on Garage Band and recorded the entire show. I had invited my favorite guitarist, and good friend, Erik Halbig, to join me, along with DC resident Tom Coyle, "Bongo Tom," who used to play with us in Nashville. Unfortunately, the songs with percussion were overridden by the drums and we had no way to adjust levels, so I've only been able to include one, with some added vocals to bring them back into the mix. Other than that edit, some EQ and the very talented Jason Howard adding a needed bass line for home listening, this is how it sounded right off the computer. It was a lot of fun to do. I hope you enjoy it. ALL PROFITS FROM THIS CD GO TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS.
