Some musician in a Rolling Stone ariticle called Billy Joel the "iceberg lettuce of rock and roll." This song defends Billy, as I think he has consistantly written great songs for 20 years. They may not be groundbreaking, but few artist have been consistantly that good for so long. He also had the foresight to retire from recording when he didn't have something new to say. I hope the songwriting bug hits him again. I'll take a great recipe, even with iceberg lettuce, over a crappy salad any day.
